In late May of 2026, the CSR-CMR chairman signed a research collaboration agreement with the Research Center for Religion and Local Beliefs (Pusat Riset Agama dan Kepercayaan or PRAK) of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). The signing took place at the office of Central Java Province’s Regional Branch of BRIN (BRIDA Jawa Tengah) in Semarang. To date, CSR-CMR and PRAK have three collaborative research projects on issues related to local beliefs (penghayat kepercayaan) in various locations in Central Java.
In addition to signing the pact between the two research centers, the CSR-CMR chairman also initiated the possibility of research collaboration between three institutions: CSR-CMR, PRAK-BRIN, and BRIDA Jawa Tengah, on issues related to religion and its regional impacts on the province’s economy, politics, education, cultures, environment, and more.
Key members of the three institutions attended the meeting, including Sumanto Al Qurtuby (CSR-CMR Chairman), Aji Sofanudin (Head of PRAK-BRIN), Joko Tri Haryanto (PRAK’s group chair for local beliefs and religious minorities), and Joko Mulyono (Secretary of BRIDA Jawa Tengah).
