Informal Meeting with WIJNA

CSR-CMR held an informal meeting and discussion with representatives of Wahana Wijnamurti Indonesia (WIJNA), a faith-based institution in Salatiga that works with multiple organizations and churches to serve Indonesian society.

The meeting was driven by similar concerns between the two institutions. Like CSR-CMR, WIJNA’s main works also focus on peacebuilding, interfaith relations, non-violent conflict transformation, and community development. The difference is perhaps that CSR-CMR’s programs and activities are more academic than practical, or a combination of the two, whereas WIJNA gives weight to practical activities in societies.

One of the key collaborations between the two institutions is a multi-year project on Christian-Muslim relationship-building, involving activities such as research, live-in programs, workshops, and public seminars, aimed at influencing the Indonesian government, policymakers, and stakeholders on issues related to Muslim and Christian communities in Indonesia.
